Don Kapot strike hard with their fourth album I Love Tempo, mixed and co-produced by Greg Saunier (Deerhoof). Using a wide range of instruments, they evolve their sound into a solid complex rhythmic wave shaken by crazy samples.
“Clenched energy where every wall between genres is demolished”: that’s how Jazzwise describes Don Kapot’s music. Giotis Damianidis (bass, guitar and effects), Viktor Perdieus (saxophone and miscellaneous instruments) and Jakob Warmenbol (drums, percussion and electronic samples) co-create songs that are “sometimes angular, often hypnotic, always with the head on”, according to Knack (BE). And as their name shows, slight self-irony plays a healthy role in their music. In 2023 they released their fourth album I Love Tempo, mixed and co-produced by Greg Saunier (Deerhoof) and are looking forward to present their music in the UK for the first time.
