John Bisset:

His guitar playing is as eclectic and adventurous as his career has been, incorporating improvisation, songwriting, movie-making and composition. Currently playing the lap steel guitar, his explorations of this instrument are documented on solo recordings since 2022.

John will be joined by George Garford and Mark Sanders for this performance, and accompanied by a film chosen by Pan-Pan.

After making music for many years in and around the Birmingham area, a period of illness inspired Joe Ellis (memories like waves) to take a four month sabbatical from work. Armed with a small Panasonic travel camera and a lifelong love of film, this experience resulted in his first short film monomania. In equal parts a love letter to South East Asia and a meditation on happiness, Joe has assembled a band of frequent collaborators for a live performance of the film's original score alongside a premiere of a special unreleased cut of the film.
